An analogy I like is that of the hologram image. An ordinary photo cut into pieces will result in three parts of the image, but when a hologram is cut into three pieces, each piece still projects the full image. I like to think that this is how the Trinity works.

Trinitarianism vs. Unitarianism

Some Christians reject the Trinity and refer to themselves as Unitarians.

Problems with Unitarianism

While admitting that the Trinity is not easy, or even possible, to understand fully, I don’t think this should be a barrier to belief in it. Furthermore, rejecting the Trinity eliminates one difficult concept but introduces several issues in other vital areas.

Unitarians are typically vague about the nature of Christ.

One option is that he is a messenger sent by the Father to bring us to the Father. This reduces Christ to the role of prophet or representative of the Father. There is clear evidence in the Bible for the divinity of Christ, and he is not just a prophet.
